is a mature raiding kinship on the Gilrain server.

Founded November 25, 2007 The Damned was started out of a desire for end game content and its spoils. Unable to find what it was we sought in the kinships we belonged to at the time, a decision was made amongst long time friends to form a kinship for ourselves and for so many who felt as we do. A large risk was taken, as so many kinships start and fail the same way but we welcomed the challenge.

Together, the founding members of The Damned sought out other like minded players and brought them into the ranks. We worked hard and learned together, finely tuning tactics and strategies. More rapidly than we had ever hoped for, our dream became what it is today... a finely tuned raiding kinship. Not only have we become some of the finest raiders but we have made bonds of friendship. Bonds of family. We have had our tough times, our problems our fights.  We are not perfect, but a finer kinship I could not wish for, filled with players who care not only for the kin as a whole but for one another as people.

The Damned recruits players level 55 and upward. The only low level characters in The Damned are alts. We are not your basic crafting, questing, hold your hand and drag you through it all sort of kinship. The Damned focuses on end game content and raiding in a fun and friendly atmosphere, but we are very serious about our raiding and what we expect from our members. The Damned is comprised of mature people over age 18, who wish to have a full end game experience and be part of an active, vibrant kinship.

Just as a side note our recruitment rule is indeed age 18 and over but we have been known to make exceptions for people age 17 under extreme circumstances. We do this on a case by case basis and reserve the right to accept or refuse any application we see fit.

We farm all of the Shadows of Angmar bosses, and instances with ease and since Mines of Moria we have learned to farm the instances: Skumfil, The Grand Stairs, Fil Gashan, 16th hall, Dark Delvings, The Forges, the 3 man Waterworks and Mirrors instances and The Halls of Crafting.

We had The Vile Maw on farm killing The Watcher (version 1.0) 3 times a week and were the first kinship on the Gilrain server to kill Watcher 2.0, Watcher 3.0 and Nornuan the Filikul Turtle. Recently we became the 2nd kin on Gilrain to complete the 12 man raid of Dar Narbugud which we also farm once a week.

We welcome all new challenges and rise to meet them. We welcome new members and hope they will rise too. We pride ourselves on our teamwork abilities and our constant quest for "the next thing". The dedication and determination of this kinship's members and its officers proves fruitful to say the least.  We do not suffer fools lightly and we do not tolerate blatant greed, disrespect or underhanded behaviour.

While we are a raiding kinship we try to have "fun" events occasionally to ensure that our kin members not only get their end game spoils but a hearty laugh as well.
